Deaf Text SMS messages are limited to 160 characters. This includes the word call and the phone number. If you exceed 160 in the total message it will be rejected automatically.
If you have more to say then you can use the VoiceText service, which has a limit of 1,200 characters per message.(more)

Deaf Text
Converts text messages into phone calls automatically

How does it work?
Just text the word Call (then a blank space) followed by the
Phone Number
you want to call (a blank space)
Then enter the "text you want to say".

For example: To send a text message to a standard land line you would text the following.

Call 019876543 Hi, it's Jack. I'm going to be late. The traffic is very heavy. I should be there in about 30 minutes. Bye

Send this to 57000 and the service will automatically dial out to 019876543 and play the sound of your text to the recipient.

The recipient can respond by pressing their own phone keys..

You'll receive the following texts back.
1: When the call is answered
2: If the recipient presses their phone keys to send a message back to you.
3: When the call is hung up.

Deaf Text is great if the call is not too urgent, or you just want to send a short message.
Unlike the Deaf Call service, Deaf Text is not real time so there could be a delay between sending the text and the call being made.
